Level 1 Hatha
Every class begins with asking how you are on the day. No two classes are the same. I tailor the class to suit you on the day.
When you are in need of rest, relaxing postures, breathing exercises and other relaxation techniques that aim to slow down the pace of one's thoughts will be taught.
When you are in need of an energetic practice, then a more dynamic and strengthening sequence will be taught.
Through the course of a session, I introduce different ways to build and sustain strength in the body's nine major joint complexes: neck, shoulders, shoulders, elbows, wrists, lower back, hips, knees and ankles.
I also guide students towards greater flexibility in areas of the body that are commonly stiff. This includes hips, shoulders, neck, upper back and legs. More flexibility can help us move more freely and comfortably , but its benefit extends beyond this. Reducing tension in our bodies can help our physiological systems to function more effectively.
These classes are suitable for people who are interested in learning simple, basic but effective postures. Suitable for those recovering from injuries, beginners or anyone wishing to take it slowly.
